Also known as an "inflatable penile prosthesis," the penile pump is a remarkable device that can restore the possibility of intercourse to men suffering from severe sexual dysfunction. Not to be confused with a penile enlargement, the penile pump is a completely internal mechanism that allows a man to have a full erection at any time -- without planning ahead, as is necessary with other treatments.
Watch the actual surgery, beginning to end, as expert surgeon Francois Eid addresses these questions and more.

"I am very sorry, but your child has a brain tumor..."
A brain tumor diagnosis in a child can be scary and confusing for the child and immeasurably painful for his parents. On today's webcast we'll look at the story of 11-year-old Ahmad Abdella, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor at age 11 after suffering silently from terrible headaches since he was 8 years old.
After learning of the tumor, Ahmad and his family turned to Fred Epstein, one of the country's leading pediatric neurosurgeons, and the staff of the Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery in New York. Several days before the operation, Ahmad and his father visited the hospital to meet with Dr. Epstein and the staff of the INN. For today's show, we followed Ahmad as he met with each member of the team, learning about his condition and the upcoming procedure. We also talked with Ahmad's father about his experiences, and Dr. Epstein shared his insights from years of experience with pediatric brain tumors.

When most of us think of brain tumors, we probably don't think of children. But every year, more than 2,000 children are diagnosed with brain tumors in the U.S. alone, making them the second most common cancer in children. Not much is known about what causes pediatric brain tumors, and they are difficult to detect early, since the symptoms can be very subtle. Our panel of experts will discuss what we do know about brain tumors in children, and how they are diagnosed. Topics will include:
- What is a brain tumor? What types of brain tumors are most common in children?
- What are the principal warning signs of brain tumors in children?
- What are the steps involved in diagnosing a brain tumor?

Brain tumors in children are a serious condition, and more common than you might imagine. Fortunately, in many cases, pediatric brain tumors can be cured completely through surgical removal--with no further treatment required. Modern surgical techniques have made this procedure safer and more effective than ever before.
On this webcast, watch as leading pediatric neurosurgeons Fred Epstein, MD and George Jallo, MD perform this remarkable procedure--called a craniotomy for cerebellar tumor--on 11-year-old Ahmad Abdella. Highlights will include:
- how the tumor is pinpointed using state-of-the-art imaging technology, allowing for a smaller incision
- how the brain is accessed through the skull
- how the tumor is removed completely, without damaging the brain
- how the skull is repaired and the incision closed
- how Ahmad is anesthetized and revived
